Avery Jones

Avery H. Jones, holds a Masters’ degree in Tourism Administration with a concentration in Event and Meeting Management from George Washington University; and a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a minor in business, from Virginia Commonwealth University. Throughout her career she has worked with organizations in entertainment, radio and network television to include media planning agencies, conference centers and travel associations coast to coast. She has developed brand campaigns, event marketing techniques, social media advances, crisis communications strategies and organized special events. While working full-time in various capacities she launched Ablaze PR in 2012, a multi-management consultancy group building brands and offering event marketing and public relation services for numerous small businesses, non-profits, political influencers and budding entrepreneurs. Clients have been featured in the Huffington Post, Essence Magazine, Glamour Magazine and the Afro American Newspaper. Her career has flourished not just as a result of her passion and expertise to link Public Relations and Event Management, but her desire to work in capacities that thrive on building better communities. One of her most treasured experiences was becoming one of the many national organizers of Women’s March and continues to work with the national organization as a Social Media Consultant.

While her diverse portfolio continues to grow, she created a platform for other entrepreneurs. Jones co-founded the Black Business Network Exchange (BBNE) in 2013. BBNE is a social enterprise that provides Black business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs a platform to share their services and talents with an audience that values minority ownership. Avery enjoys the fast-pace of public relations and event management and encourages other mission-driven individuals to keep learning something new to answer the question, ‘What’s Next?’
