Dr. Ashely Griffin
Ashley Griffin, Ph.D, is a fierce advocate for children of color and leads the research team at The Education Trust. As a scholar, educator, and advocate her work centers around teacher diversity, access to advanced coursework, and social emotional academic development. Dr. Griffin has led extensive qualitative research on the experiences on Black and Latino teachers, bringing to light the realities that teachers of color face in the education workforce.
A native of Ohio, Dr. Griffin holds doctoral and master’s degrees in developmental psychology from Howard University, with a concentration in educational psychology and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Georgetown University.
Dr. Griffin is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.
