Franklin H. Johnson, Jr.

Mr. Franklin H. Johnson, Jr. is a proud alumnus of Virginia State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems in 2004. While at VSU he participated in numerous organizations, most notably the Trojan Explosion Marching Band where he was Drum Major from 2001-2004. As an alum, he still actively contributes to the marching band, volunteering as the recruiter. 

After graduating from VSU, Franklin obtained a Masters of Business Administration from Strayer University in 2007.

Franklin currently serves as the 37th National President of the Virginia State University Alumni Association (VSUAA) & President of the Washington, D.C. Chapter of VSUAA.  He is a member of the Virginia State University Foundation Board and serves as a member of the Institutional Advancement Committee to the Virginia State University Board of Visitors. Franklin has served as National President of the Virginia State University Alumni Association for 5 years. As president, he has raised $92,677.41 for the VSUAA Endowment Fund and has increased membership by 45%.

Franklin is an active member of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Inc., Zeta Psi Alumni Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity, Inc., and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.

From Charles City, Virginia, Franklin currently resides in Capitol Heights, Maryland and has lived in the Washington, DC metropolitan area for the past13 years. He is currently employed by Coalfire. as a Consultant working for Department of Homeland Security in Rosslyn, VA.
