Nicole McKay, Author, Producer, Director was raised in Hyattsville, MD.  She attended St. John’s Baptist de la Salle from kindergarten through eighth grade.  From there, she attended the Academy of the Holy Names for two years, then Elizabeth Ann Seton, where she graduated with her high school diploma in 1990.  Nicole furthered her education by attending North Carolina Central University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts, History in 1995 and her Master of Library Science in 1996.

For as long as Nicole can remember, she has had a love for writing.  She has always aspired to write books, hoping to be able to connect and to help people.  In 2008, Nicole wrote two children’s books, The Adventures of Bug and Roofus…Clean Your Room Roofus, and Lost in Woozy Doozy World, books that seek to instill discipline in children and help them to make the right decisions.  Little did Nicole know that those children’s books would be the catalyst to inspire her to write the trilogy:  The Reason Why;  More Of The Same;  and Nadia, known as The Nadia Series.

In September, Nicole will take her play The Reason Why, on the road to Dekalb, GA.  The jaw-dropping play was performed in Bowie, MD in June of 2018.  The response was overwhelming and propelled Nicole to take her play on the road.

Nicole will continue her mission as she embarks on creating her television series, based on her books.    It is Nicole’s desire to let people know that no matter the situation, there is hope.  She loves the Lord and relies on Him heavily.  She has no shame in letting people know that had it not been for the Lord on her side, she would not have made it this far.

Finally, Nicole has four children (Tiffany, John, Drew, Mya).  Nicole is also recently engaged to William Atkinson, a God sent man that has taught her the true meaning of loving and being loved.
