Lady Kym Elder is the current chapter president of the Prince George’s County chapter of the Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. (TLOD). While Lady Kym joined the Prince George’s County chapter in June 2012, serving her community and assisting wherever there is a need ---has been a mission of hers since grade school.

​

Lady Kym’s love for serving others and joining TLOD, where its members are as committed to service; resulting in impactful improvements as well as work with and shape a future generation of servants. TLOD provides an opportunity for each Top Lady to work with and mentor teens to become better and committed servants and eventually, leaders of tomorrow. The youth participants known as the Top Teens of America is a sponsored and mandatory program of each chapter of the Top Ladies.

As the current chapter president, Lady Kym looks forward to continuing and enlarging the TLOD and Prince George’s County chapter’s footprint as an organization that is committed to serving youth and adults throughout the county in areas that need services that improves the quality of life and etc.

Lady Kym is a native Washingtonian, who with her husband, Lord Alan Sr. chose to move and raise their sons in the county. The family of ”servants of others in need” continue to give back wherever they cans. Their youngest son, Aaron actively participated and absolutely loved the Top Teens of America (TTA) program. A graduate of the TTA program, Aaron is a current honors student matriculating through the North Carolina Central University and continues to give back on campus and throughout the Durham area.

Lady Kym married her college sweetheart, Lord Alan Sr., the two met on the campus of Norfolk State University over 30 years performing a community service project and married shortly after their graduation. Their family motto, “it’s a blessing to be a blessing to those in need”.
