LeStancia N. Spaght
LeStancia N. Spaght is the only child of retired military parents Leticia Spaght and Stan Spaght. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, and has lived in Texas and Germany. However, Hampton, VA, is where she considers home and has her fondest memories. She is the first in her family to graduate from a university and with great distinction and honor. A magna cum laude graduate of North Carolina Central University, it was there in the fall of 1999 that she joined Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Alpha Lambda Chapter. Her Delta Resume is most notable, including leadership contributions during Centennial activities, Statewide and Area-wide Founders Day events. Currently, she serves as the 3rd President of Tri-County Maryland Alumnae Chapter.
Professionally, LeStancia has proven to be effective in fast-paced environments by completing the 3-year Naval Acquisition Intern Program at Naval Air System Command which has led to accomplishments, with different agencies, in negotiating contracts for the federal government. Additionally, she has earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, graduated from the Federal Executive Institute, and become a Certified Federal Contracts Manager, with an impressive and distinguished career spanning more than 15 years as civil servant.
LeStancia has a passion for world travel and attributes that to the myriad of military assignments her parents had during her youth. She continues her life-long love of travel and has become an Accredited Cruise Counselor. Her skill set for organization and planning is evident as a Meeting and Events Planner and owner of LNS Events, LLC.
