Zenita Wickham Hurley

Zenita Wickham Hurley is a member of the Board of Directors for Emerge Maryland, where she currently serves as Treasurer.

Emerge Maryland, an independent state affiliate of Emerge America seeks to increase the number of Democratic women leaders from diverse backgrounds in public office through recruitment, training and providing a powerful network. A political appointee and public servant for most of her career, Ms. Hurley has worked for both the Governor and the Attorney General for the State of Maryland, providing leadership and advocacy in support of minority business development and inclusion, criminal justice reform and consumer protection.

 

She currently works as a civil rights attorney in Baltimore, Maryland where she lives with her husband and three children. She is a graduate of the University of Maryland and the New York University School of Law.
